Jessica Tomasone
PART-TIME COMPETITIVE TEACHER
Receiving her BFA in Performance Arts Dance from Ryerson University, Jessica has been training and performing in many styles of dance since the age of 4. She has worked and trained with well-known professionals in the industry such as Nadia Potts, Karen Duplisea, Vicki St.Denys (RU), Kenny Pearl (TDT), Robert Glumbeck, D.A Hoskins, Linda Garneau, and Vlad Novitski to name a few. Shortly after getting her degree, Jessica trained and performed in T.O & Niagara Falls with Afro and samba-based dance company, The Dance Migration, Adrianna Yanuziello.
Jessica has taught technique and choreography for competitive and recreational dance classes at Stepanova Ballet Academy Inc. (Thornhill), Vlad’s Dance Company (Richmond Hill), Epiphany of Dance (North York), Somerville Dance Academy (Richmond Hill), The Dance Institute (Markham), York Dance Academy (Aurora/Stouffville/Newmarket), and Epic Dance Company (Schomberg). Teaching styles such as jazz, tap, ballet, acrobatics, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, ballroom, and Latin makes Jessica an extremely versatile dancer and teacher inspiring students of all ages and abilities.
After completing her Acrobatics Arts Teaching Certificate (Acrobatic Arts, Jessica received her Tap Syllabus Teacher Certificate with Kim Chalovich (Tap Dance Centre, Mississauga) and most recently is a new member of Canadian Dance Teacher’s Association (CDTA), in the process of obtaining National accreditation as a dance educator.
