Kaylee Jack
RECREATIONAL / PART-TIME COMPETITIVE TEACHER
Kaylee is extremely excited to be teaching at RDS this year for the 2021/2022 season! Kaylee started her dance training at the age of 3 and has had a passion for dance ever since. Kaylee danced competitively from the age of 12 and trained in various styles; such as ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. She has won numerous awards at various dance competitions, including special awards for solos, duets, and trios as well as high achievement placings. Kaylee Jack is a graduate of the Alexander Mackenzie High School Dance Program where she was heavily involved. Kaylee began her teaching journey in 2013 where she fell in love with training and inspiring young dancers. Specializing in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop; Kaylee is passionate about helping dancers explore their love for dance.
Kaylee is currently in her final year of the BFA Dance Program at York University where she has extensively trained in ballet and modern dance. She has trained under the direction of various professors and choreographers such as Syreeta Hector, Patrick Parson, and Tracey Norman. She has also been involved in the York Lions Dance Energy competitive team for 2 seasons; working with choreographers and competing against various university teams across Ontario. Kaylee has had the opportunity to create her own choreographic pieces and perform in various performances throughout her time in the York dance program.
Kaylee values the importance of hard work while prioritizing a positive approach to teaching and learning. She instills dedication and passion to all of her dancers, as she focuses on creating an environment for dancers to express themselves. “I look forward to an exciting year full of growth and helping my students find their passion for dance!
